More information on presentation styles

Oral Presentations
Oral presentations will normally be of 15 minutes duration plus a 5 minute Q & A session. Total exposure time is 20 minutes.
Note: papers not selected for oral presentation may be given the option of a poster presentation 

Workshop- Panel Session proposals
The Conference Program Committee will consider proposals for the conference to host panel sessions and/or workshops sessions. 
Proposals should include:
  • an indication of the session organiser’s capability to deliver a good result 
  • the background of the subject matter 
  • who would gain insights/ knowledge/ perspective for attending
  • the proposed session’s structure and format
  • intended outcomes and how these will be physically achieved
Poster Presentation  
  • A1 size in portrait layout
  • Must include a photograph of the presenting author, and small biography and contact details
  • Normally presenters are responsible for the physical production of their poster
Posters may be on any topic relevant to the conference theme.
Posters will be displayed in the exhibition area and for the duration of the conference.  It is expected that presenters should be available during meal breaks to discuss their work with conference delegates.

Terms and Conditions

All presenting authors will be required to register (for free) to ensure their abstract is included in the final program.
 
All presenting authors will be asked if they will permit their presentations to be put up on the conference website after the event. We expect the range of answers to be
  • Yes
  • Yes, but with modifications
  • No
By submitting an abstract you give consent to publication of the abstract in conference material, including but not limited to, the conference blog, conference handbook of abstracts, email promotion and conference website (unless otherwise agreed). 

All abstracts must be original work.
 
The author is responsible for the accuracy of the abstract. 

All submissions must be sent with all requirements to Belinda McNab at belinda.mcnab@newcastle.edu.au by no later than 5pm on 9th July 2015.
